Social Predicament is a bi-annual online publication from #tweetTheBible that publishes outstanding quotes and comments from members within our community, posted between publications, regarding current socially challenging issues and what the Bible has to say about them. #tweetTheBible, being a campaign founded upon the power of the Word, recognizes the Bible cry for action–kindness, righteousness, justice; as we are focused on reading and digesting the Bible as a community, we believe it’s only fair to say that we should also be moving together, as a living, breathing testimony to the unchanging importance and practical nature of these biblical ideals. SP will not only give us another way of displaying the relevance of the Bible, but will also provide incentive for our followers to become active participants in this global community, which we hope will inspire, mobilize, and unite people from all walks of life.
Are you a creative artist (any medium) who support #TweetTheBible? We are looking for 24 creatives from within our community to participate in a collaborative 24-day project chronicling Genesis chapter 3 verse by verse. Each artist will create one scripturaction using one of the 24 verses in Genesis 3. We will unveil your created piece the day that the corresponding verse is posted. Can you imagine as a web developer how many questions I have had to answer on the technical side of things, even as I was only just beginning to think about an 86-year social media project? How in the world is it going to last 86 years? What happens when Twitter is gone?
